Richard Gilligan
Richard Dennis Gilligan, age 47, Laona, died on February 23, 1995 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rhinelander.
Born in Laona on May 28, 1947, he wa the son of Donald and Gladys (Wood) Gilligan. On September 30, 1967, he married Frances Whitens in Laona.
From 1965-1985, Mr. gilligan worked as an assembler and lift driver for Connors, and from 1987-1993, he worked as a head sawer at Nicolet Hardwoods.
His hobbies included working on cars, fishing and hunting, listening to country music and working word search games.
Survivors nclude his wife, Francis, Laona; his mother, Gladys DuCaine, Lena; a daugther, Kerry (Kevin) Kerner, Little Chute; three sons, Richard (Tammy) Gilligan, Laona; Shawn and Brett Gilligan at home; six sisters, Leola Jensen, Anchaorage, Alaska; Carol Merryman, Anchorage, Alaska; Germaine (John Murray, Laona; Virginia (Delmar) Hurning, Lena; Ruth (Delmar) Behnke, Lena; Laurie (Richard) Comins, Coleman; three brothers, Donald (Marie) Gilligan, Laona; Thomas (Kathy) Gilligan, Porterfield; Daniel (Sharon) Gilligan, Lena; three grandchildren, Kaila and Brittany Gilligan and Tawnee Kerner.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Kelly.
Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 26, 1995 at St. Leonard's Catholic Church, Laona. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 27 at the church, with Father John Cerkas officiating.
Burial is in Laona Cemetery, Laona.
