Mrs. Irene Easterling, 39, of Wesley died in the City Hospital Fayetteville, about 1 o'clock Wednesday morning of injuries received in a car wreck July 11. The car she was driving and a light truck collided near the east city limits of Fayetteville as she was driving to work. Otis Parker, driver of the truck, was given a summons for driving on the wrong side of the street.
Mrs. Easterling was the former Miss Irene Parson, daughter of Ray Parson and the late Mrs. Parson. She was born at Loy October 8, 1920. She was married to O.D. Easterling Jan. 1, 1936, and they became the parents of two sons, Charles and Bobby Easterling, all of whom survive. She had been a member of the Church of Christ more than twenty years.
Mrs. Easterling was one of the most popular and well-liked young matrons of her community and her untimely death is a great loss.
Survivors other than her husband and two sons of Wesley are her father, Ray Parson, of the Loy community; and eight brothers, Ernest, Jesse and Quinton Parson, all of Fullerton, Calif., Carl, Herbert, Garland, Hugh and Ewell Parson, all of Huntsville.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, were incomplete at press time.

Funeral services for Mrs. Irene Easterling of Wesley were held at the Church of Christ here Thursday, July 23, at 2 p.m. with Leerie Ball, Church of Christ minister from Fayetteville, officiating.
Burial was in the Whorton Creek cemetery under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Donald Counts, Tilbert Counts, Dwight Steele, Albert Todd, Joe C. Flowers and Ray Harriman.
