Tinna P. Pierce
Mrs. Tinna P. PIERCE, 96, 1325 Madison street, died at 4:40 p.m. Monday in her home after beng seriously ill for three days.
Mrs. Pierce was born March 1, 1882 in Tippecanoe county to Marion and Mary BAIR BUSKIRK. She had lived in Rochester 25 years, coming here from Cass county. She was married Feb. 20, 1900 at Lafayette to Fred PIERCE, who died April 23, 1968. She was a member of the Metea Baptist church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leora M. DUNLAP, North Fort Meyers, Fla., and Mrs. Maye DICK, Yuciapa, Cal.; four grandchildren, Mrs. Lola RIDDLE, Argos; Mrs. Dandra JONSON, Upper Heyford, England; Roger DICK, Carson, Cal.; Carol HILL, Prescott, Ariz.; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a brother, Joe BUSKIRK, Lafayette. She was preceded in death by a son, James [PIERCE]; a grandson, Gene; a great-grandson; a brother, and three sisters.
Private graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Donald MAUGHAN officiating. Burial will be at the I.O.O.F. cemetery, Rochester. Friends may call at the Foster & Good funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
