FLETCHER THATCHER, 67, DIES SUNDAY FUNERAL WEDNESDAY

Fletcher Thatcher, 67 years old, a native of this country, died Sunday at his home in Freedom, following an illness that dated back to last March. He was born in Owen County, June 2, 1883, a son of the late Isaac and Laura (Trent) Thatcher. During the active part of his life he was engaged in farming.

Survivors include the bereaved wife, Mrs. Pearl Thatcher; and the following eight children: Mrs. Beatrice White, of Coal City; Mrs. Alma Minnick, of Granada, Mississippi; Mrs. Mary Dyar, Spencer; Claude Thatcher, Freedom; Everett Thatcher, Freedom; Mrs. Freda Figg, Worthington; and Junior Thatcher,also of Freedom. One son, Robert, preceded him in death. He also leaves three brothers and one sister. Following death the body was brought to the West & Son Funeral Home where final arrangements were made.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock at the Pleasant Bethel Church, and interment was made in the Pleasant Bethel Cemetery.
