Lillian Royster Simpson, 85, wife of G.T. "Tom" Simpson, of 1103 Bradfort Court, died July 8, 2001.
Born in Hart County, Ga., she was a daughter of the late J.T. and Cora Reid Royster.
Mrs. Simpson retired as a sales associate with Meyers Arnold Department Store in 1985 after 30 years of service. She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church, the Co-ed 35 Class, and the Sandra Brown Bible Class.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Linda Vaughn and her husband Joseph J. Vaughn III, of Greenville; a son, Dennis Simpson, of Summerville; a sister, Ann Gleason, of Anderson; and two grandchildren, Kristie L. and Ginger E. Brewton.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive, with Dr. Frank S. Page and the Rev. Jack Deskins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Ave., Greenville, SC 29605.
