Joy Marie Hunt Mitchell, age 59, of Ewing, Kentucky, passed away February 8, 2007, at Fleming County Hospital, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky. She was born April 25, 1947, on Tea Run Road, in Fleming County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Avery F. and Elizabeth Earlywine Hunt, and was the widow of Albert Mitchell, Jr.
Joy is survived by: three daughters, Melissa Fryman, of Ewing, Rita Smith, of Carlisle, and Kathy Mitchell, of Paris; four brothers, Steve (Janice) Hunt and Avery E. (Sybille) Hunt, both of Ewing, and David (Connie) Hunt and Rocky (Teresa) Hunt, both of Flemingsburg; three sisters, Hazel Kerns and Carolyn (Leo) Pollitt, both of Flemingsburg, and Opal (Robert) Carpenter, of Ewing; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Anna Louise Gray and Emma Garr Gray.
Memorial services were held Sunday at Price Brothers Funeral Home, in Elizaville, by Reverend James Hickerson.
