David Booher, aged 78 years, died Sunday morning, April 18, 1937, at 6:15 o’clock following a short illness. He was born August 18, 1858. Mr. Booher had not been in good health for some time, but was around as usual on Saturday and retired at 10 p.m. Shortly after he retired his wife heard him moaning and called her daughter, Mrs. Stoops. Physicians were summoned and in an hour from the time his condition was discovered he became unconscious. He never regained consciousness. He leaves his wife, Charlotte (Frick) Booher and the following children: Mrs. Reed R. Stoops, Kittanning; Mrs. Kenneth E. Rupert of Butler, H. M. Booher; Elmer D. Booher, Roy P. Booher, R. E. Booher, all of Kittanning, and J. H. Booher of Freeport; 19 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Elsie Dailey and Mrs. Lydia Bowser, of Kittanning; and Mrs. Catherine McCollum of New Kensington. He had been married 57 years and celebrated his Golden Wedding Anniversary October 2, 1929. He was a member of the activity lodge No. 715 I. O. O. F. Funeral services will be held from the Montgomeryville Baptist church Tuesday, April 20, at 2:30 p.m. in charge of Rev. Gilbert Heilman, pastor of the church. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.
