BENHARD HERREN DIES SUDDENLY OF HERT ATTACK
Benhard D. Herren, for many years a resident of Jones county, suffered a heart attack May 17 at his home in Millersburg and died thereafter. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Herren and was born in Wayne township Sept. 19, 1880. At the time of his death he was 63 years, 7 months and 28 days of age. He was baptized and confirmed in the Wayne Lutheran church and as a young man lived in Amber for several years, where he was a storekeeper. He then moved onto a farm at Millersburg. He was married to Minnie Harms Feb. 3,
1909. There were eleven children born to this union. One child died in infancy, and Earl died last February. He is survived by his wife and the following children: Clarence of Rhode Island; Mrs. Lorena Hargrave of Dysart; Vernon of Pensacola, Fla.; Velma and Luelia of
San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Vernon Larson of Rock Island, I11.; Melvin in the South Pacific, and Milton at home.
He is also survived by five brothers and three sisters, many of whom attended the fueral at Millersburg.
