Private services were Thursday at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Cemetery for Thomas Paterson, 75, of West Linn, who died in a local hospital Monday morning.

The Rev. Paul Sweeney officiated and Holman-Hankins-
Rilance Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Committal was in Mountain View Cemetery Mausoleum.

Born in Hamilton, Scotland, Nov, 3, 1902, he had lived in this area for about 60 years. A retired Hyster driver for Crown Zellerbach, he was a veteran of World War II. A musician, he played saxaphone and trumpet in local bands. He was also a ham radio operator.

Surviving are his wife, Leona; a son, Wayne Paterson of West Linn; three daughters, Mildred Martin of Eugene, Leota Goscinski of Aptos, Calif., and Genevieve Pennington of Seattle; three brothers, James of St. Helens, Guy of Salem, William of Los Angles; five sisters, Marian Crouse of Eugene, Margaret Dickenson and Annie Davidson of Oregon City, Catherine Davidson of West Linn and Nettie Hodgson of Portland; 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, Clackamas County Unit.
