George T. Paterson, 42, Newport, died July 7 at the Oregon City Hospital as a result of a bullet wound.
Born December 21, 1904, in Scotland, he came to the United States at the age of 7 years. He was living in Newport with his wife, Leona.Surviving are the widow, four brothers, Thomas at West Linn, James at St. Helens, Guy B. at Portland, William L. in Merchant Marines; five sisters, Marian Crouse, Eugene, Nettie Hodgson, Portland, Margaret Birkland, Willamette, Annie Moreland, Grand Ronde and Catherine Davidson, Willamette; four uncles, Guy, Thomas and Alex at Seaside, and W. Laidlaw at Gladstone.
Private funeral services will be held at Holman-Hankins and Rilance Chapel Thursday morning with internment in the Mountain View Cemetery.
