Mrs. Marion Paterson, 62, resident of Willamette for the past 27 years, died suddenly in Dr. A. S. McDonald's office while cleaning Saturday night. She was born in Scotland, July 25, 1880, and came to the United States in 1911.
She was a member of Willamette Methodist Church, Pioneer Chapter O.E.S, and West Linn Circle 880, Neighbors of Woodcraft. She was also active in community affairs at Willamette.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Paterson, and children, Mrs. Marion Crouse of Springfield, Or.; Thomas Paterson of naval training station at Farragut, Idaho; George T. Paterson of Gladstone; Mrs. N. J. Hodgson of Portland; James T. Paterson of St. John's; Mrs. Margaret T. Kirkland of Portland; Guy B. Paterson of United States Marine Corps; Mrs. Annie P. Moreland of Oak Grove; Miss Catherine Paterson of Willamette and William L. Paterson also of Willamette; as well as two sisters residing in Scotland.
Funeral services will be held at Oregon City Funeral Home on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with her son-in-law, Rev. Harry Crouse, officiating. Internment will be in Mountain View Cemetery.
