James B. Paterson, 90, retired Crown Zellerbach employee and former long-time resident of Willamette, died at the Portland Adventist Hospital Tuesday. He had been making his home with his daughter, Mrs. Nettie Hodgson of Portland.
Mr. Paterson was born March 27, 1879 in Hamilton, Scotland. He was a charter member of the West Linn Fire Department.
Survivors include five daughters and four sons, Marian Crouse, Eugene, Nettie Hodgson, Portland, Margaret Dickenson, Hines, Or.; Anne Davidson, Park Place, Catherine Davidson, Willamette; Guy Paterson, Portland, William Paterson, Los Angles, James Paterson, St. Helens, Thomas Paterson, Oregon City; a sister, Mrs. Ann Laidlaw, Gladstone; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Mt. Scott Funeral Home Chapel, Foster at SE 59th, Portland, followed by internment in the Mountain View Cemetery, Oregon City.
