Leroy Joe Van DUYNE, 67, R.R. 2, Rochester, died Tuesday afternoon in a Hayward, Wis. hospital shortly after admittance. He was born Aug. 22, 1906 in Miami county to Frank and Grace SHELTON Van DUYNE and resided most of his life in the Rochester-Mount Zion area. He was married May 3, 1941 to Helen MOORE, who survives. A retired partner of the Van Duyne Block and Gravel company since 1970, he was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II with service in the Pacific theatre of war. He was a member of the Rochester American Legion post. Surviving are the wife; four brothers, Fred and Robert [Van DUYNE], Rochester; Donald [Van DUYNE], Kewanna, and Virgil [Van DUYNE], Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Mary) ZIMMERMAN and Mrs. Harold (Mae) CRILL, Rochester, and Mrs. Adam (Kathyrn) RENTSCHLER, Fulton. Funeral rites are tentatively set for Friday at the Zimmerman Brothers funera home. Thursday, September 20, 1973, Funeral services for Leroy Joe Van DUYNE, 67, R.R. 2, Rochester, who died Tuesday afternoon, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Zimmerman Brothers funeral home with the Rev. Allen JUMP officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today.
