Mount Angel, Ore. -- Arlin A. Staab, 75, died Monday, Nov. 17, 2003. He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in hays to Adolph and Amelia (Wasinger) Staab.

He later moved to Salem, Ore., and graduated from Sacred Heart Academy. He was a lithographer and operated Howell Prairie Nursery for 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

He married Evelyn Purdy on Feb. 3, 1951, in Mount Angel.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; four daughters, Kathleen Staab, Salem, Karen Staab and Kristine Buchheit, both of Mount Angel, and Konnie Miller, Silverton, Ore.; two sons, David, Mount Angel, and Douglas, Silverton, Ore.; two brothers, Marcel, Portland, and Melvin, Salem; four sisters, Norma Gregory, Salem, Rozelle Staab, Albany, Ore., Anita Weber, Victoria, Kan., and Morella Pfeifer, Portland; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services were Nov. 20 at St. Mary Catholic Church; burial in Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church, 575 E. College, Mount Angel, OR 97362, or ARC of Oregon, 1745 State St., Salem, OR 97301.
