DOUGLAS' OBITUARY
Born to Arlin and Evelyn Staab. Doug spent his entire life in North Howell. He married Carolyn Ferschweiler in 1981. They took over the family nursery in 1991 which is now in its 3rd generation of Staab ownership.
Doug was in the landscape spray business for 30+ years. He started and owned Staab Horticultural for 27 years. Doug had a huge knowledge of lawn, trees and shrubs. The county extension agent often contacted him for advice.
Doug was quick to smile, easily made friends and never turned down a competition of any kind. He loved the Ducks and was a season football ticket holder. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his Duck gang and loved it even more when his son Michael started going. Doug enjoyed working on the nursery, golfing, vacationing at Black Butte, and being a board member of the Mt. Angel Oktoberfest.
Doug is survived by Carolyn, daughter Jaclyn, son Thomas (Michelle), grandchildren Erika and Henry, brother David (Angie) and sisters Karen Staab (John), Kris Buchheit (Steve) and Konnie Miller (Cole Allen).
Doug was preceded in death by his son Michael, his parents Arlin and Evelyn, and sister Kathleen.
