CHARLES D. ADCOCK

Charles Delmar, son of Isom and Didema Adcock, was born on a farm in Monroe county Dec. 22, 1879, one of 12 children, and passed away unexpectedly Oct. 25, 1957, at Rolla, Mo., at the age of 77 years, 10 months and three days. He had lived in Salem, Mo., for the past six years.

He was married to Grace Yerty on August 30, 1904 who passed away Nov. 3, 1918. They were the parents of four sons and three daughters: Orval of Dodge City, Kans.; Everett and Charles of Clio; Mrs. Marie Shelton and Mrs. Opal McCarter of Salem, Mo.; an infant son and Fern preceded their father in death.

He was married to Linnie Alice Peck May 19, 1925. They were the parents of two daughters; Mrs. Jean Karns of Clio; Mrs. Kitty Crawford of Corydon. Surviving besides his wife and children are one sister, Mrs. Jen Chambers of Cheyenne, Wyo., 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

He professed faith in Christ at an early age. He was a kind and loving husband and father, and was active and cheerful until the end.

Funeral services were held at the Greenlee Funeral Home in Lineville, Monday, Oct. 28, 1957 at 1:30 p.m. Burial was at the LaGrange cemetery in Lucas county with the Rev. Archie Beals officiating.
