FERN ADCOCK

Fern Juanita Adcock, daughter of Charles Delmar and Grace Yerty Adcock, was born November 27, 1909 and passed from this life at Farmington, Mo., on July 22, 1945 at the age of 35 years 7 months and 25 days.

The early years of her life were spent on a farm near LaGrange, Iowa. The mother died when Fern was 9 years old and the family moved to Salem, Mo. in 1923. She continued her education in the Salem schools, later attending the High School at Hawkinsbank, Mo.

She accepted Christ as her Savior in early life and her faith was manifested by her attendance in the house of worship so long as health permitted.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Adcock of Clio, Iowa, three brothers, Orville of Colorado, Everett of Baltimore, Maryland, and Charles at home, four sisters, Mrs. Marie Shelton of St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Opal McCarter of Gladden, Mo., Mrs. Jean Karns and Kitty Adcock of Washington D. C., seven nieces and nephews, as well as many other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Fern will be remembered by those who loved her for her sweet disposition and for her patience during the long period of physical frailty that fell to her lot.

Funeral services were held in the Russell Baptist Church on Friday, July 25, at 2:30 p.m., conducted by the Rev. A. E. Beals and interment was made in the LaGrange Cemetery.
