Stanley - Horace D. Wilbur, 96, Rt. 1, Eau Claire, formerly of Stanley, died Sunday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lester Cooley, Rt, 1, Eau Claire.
Mr. Wilbur was born Feb. 14, 1878, in Ludington and was reared in that area. He was married to Alta Lathrop of Stanley in 1900. The couple farmed for many years in the Town of Edson and moved to the Eau Claire area in 1955.
Survivors include a son, Merle, Staney; four daughters, Mrs. Leonard Jones, Mrs. Williard Webstser, Mrs. Richard Smith,, all of Williston, N.D., Mrs. Lester Cooley, Rt. 1, Eau Claire; a sister, Mrs. Bessie Bauby, Santa Cruz, Calif.; 26 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Plombon Funeral Home, Stanley, with the Rev. Dan Cain officiating. Burial will be in Edson Union Cemetery, Boyd.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Monday until services Tuesday.
