Edith C. White died Saturday, August 19, at the Oak Hill Community Medical Center. She was 85.
A resident of Kessinger School Road, she was born in Hamilton County on July 13, 1904. She was a member of the Christian church in Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayfield White, who died last year. Surviving are three daughters: Grace Williamson, Margaret Detty and Gladys Blackburn, all of Jackson.
Also surviving are five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Mayhew Funeral Home, Jackson, with the Rev. Gomer Jenkins presiding. Friends of the family may call on Monday between the hours of 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
