Mayfield White, age 85, of Kessinger Road, Jackson, died Friday at the Oak Hill Hospital.
He was a retired employee of Globe Iron Company and a member of the Christian Church
Born May 14, 1903 in Ross County, he was the son of the late Milton and Miranda Moats White. He was also preceded in death by his son Russell.
Survivors include his wife, Edith Caldwell White; three daughters, Grace Williamson, Margaret Detty and Gladys Blackburn; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one niece.
Friends may call at the Mayhew Funeral Home from 6 until 9 p.m. tonight (Monday). Services will be held there 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Gomer Jenkins officiating. Burial will be made in Fairmount Cemetery.
