Roland S. Bowser died Friday, July 4, 1952, in the home of his daughter, Mrs. H.M. Zellefrow of 555 Woodward avenue. Mr. Bowser was born July 15, 1865, in Armstrong County, a son of the late William J. and Delilah (Frick) Bowser. By occupation Mr. Bowser was an engineer in the New Kensington area where he resided for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist church, New Kensington. Surviving are four sons and four daughters, Raymond B., Warren S., William J., and Ernest L. Bowser and Mrs. R.R. Croyle, all of New Kensington; Mrs. H.M. Zellefrow and Mrs. W.R. McCollum, both of Kittanning and Mrs. W.R. Frampton, Huntingdon, W. Va. Also surviving are 35 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, U.F. Bowser of Hancock, Md., and four sisters, Mrs. Daisy Bouch, Adrian; Mrs. Mary Mixer and Mrs. Carrie Ekas, both of Williamstown, W.Va. and Mrs. Laura Claypool, Walk Chalk. Friends are being received in the Bauer funeral home until 1 p.m. Sunday when the body will be removed to Montgomeryville Baptist church. Funeral services will be held at the church at 2 o'clock. The pastor, Rev. Silas B. Acklin, will officiate. Burial will be in the Montgomeryville Baptist Cemetery.
