Mary W. Bruington, 96, of Hardinsburg died Sunday, May 25, 1997, at Medco Center of Hardinsburg. She was born in Breckinridge County, was a housewife and was a member of Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. Bruington Sr.; and 3 sons, Jesse A. Bruington Jr., William Lee Bruington and Lawrence McAdow Bruington. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Don Bruington of Falls of Rough; 4 daughters, Lucy Horsley and Phyllis Flood, both of Hardinsburg, Mary Lee Hart of Gallatin, TN, and Nancy Wheatley of Irvington; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, G.O. Bandy of Irvington; and a sister, Emma Lee Hicks of Brandenburg. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery in Harned. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Memorial contribution envelopes are available at the funeral home.
