She was born in Breckinridge County, was a housewife and was a member of Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. Bruington Sr.; and 3 sons, Jesse A. Bruington Jr., William Lee Bruington and Lawrence McAdow Bruington. Survivors include a son, the Rev. Don Bruington of Falls of Rough; 4 daughters, Lucy Horsley and Phyllis Flood, both of Hardinsburg, Mary Lee Hart of Gallatin, TN, and Nancy Wheatley of Irvington; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, G.O. Bandy of Irvington; and a sister, Emma Lee Hicks of Brandenburg. Services are at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery in Harned. Visitation is after 4 p.m. today at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
