Mrs. Caroline Larson, who had been ill for the past several months, quietly passed away at her home in Evansville at about six o'clock Sunday evening, July 15, 1917, at the age of seventy-three years.

Mrs. Larsen, whose maiden name was Caroline Frederickson, was born at Langeland, Denmark, on August 31, 1844. She married in the old country and in 1886, in company with her husband came to America and settled near Fulton where they resided for four years, after which time they moved to Rutland. They resided on a farm in this town for a period of thirty-nine years, when failing health compelled them to give up their vocation and they removed to Oregon where Mr. Larsen died in 1912.

In October, 1913, Mrs. Larsen went to Evansville to reside and has since made her home there. The last few years of her life were marked by failing health and her last illness was one of long duration.

Mrs. Larson was an unpretentious woman whose life has been spent in quiet and unassuming manner. She was a woman loved best by those who knew her best.

She is survived by four daughters as follows: Mrs. John Anderson, Mrs. Andrew Christensen, and Mrs. Paul Nelson of Oregon and Mrs. Chris. Hendricksen of Evansville. She also leaves nine grandchildren ad two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother and sister who reside at Tyler, Minn

The funeral was held at one o'clock Thursday afternoon, from her late home and at 2:30 o'clock from the Lutheran church at Rutland, the Rev. Mr. Hagga officiating. Interment was made in the Graves Cemetery at Rutland.
