Funeral services for James Amos Drinen, 87, of 1304 Illinois avenue, who died at 4:10 a.m. Friday (March 1, 1968) at Pine Lake division hospital after week's illness, will be held Monday (March 4, 1968)at the Haverstock Funeral home. The Rev. Charles Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Lake cemetery.
Mr. Drinen was born in Kentucky on Jan. 27,1881 to Thomas and Lillian Drinen. He came here 40 years ago from Montana.
He was married in Marysville, Kansas, to Marie Schlaefli of the Allis Chalmers Manufacturing company, who preceded him in death.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Irma Christie, LaPorte, and Mrs. Vona Held, Port Charlotte, Fla.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
