MYRTLE SHEPHERD ANDERSON
Myrtle B. Shepherd Anderson, 92, died February 26, 1994 at home after a lingering illness.
She was born October 24, 1901 in Murray, Utah to Hans Peter Arnold and Roselia Sanders Berg. She married William LeRoy Shepherd December 6, 1923 in Murray, Utah; marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died February 1, 1942. She later married Gunnard E. Anderson, September 2, 1946 in Murray, Utah. He died November 11, 1984.
She was an active member of the LDS Church, served in the Primary and was a temple worker. She had a talent of tatting and was quilting chairman of her ward for 20 years. She was an active visiting teacher and member of the DUP. She loved to work in her garden.
Survived by daughters, Luana Shepherd, Beverly S. Daw (J. Weston); twins, Janice Hilton (Lee) and Joyce Downward, Marilyn Henline (William); sons, Kenneth Shepherd (Lyn), Shirl Shepherd (Dona), Bud Anderson (Mary), Clinton Anderson; 33 grandchildren, 92 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; sisters, Verna Probst, Mary Haslam, Dorothy Roark; brothers, Leonard, Clifford and Robert Berg. Preceded in death by son, Donald and Obie Anderson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 1994 at 12 noon in the Park LDS Ward, 5600 South 495 East. Friends may call at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 11 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
