He was baptised and confirmed in Bethany Lutheran Church of which he was a faithful member at the time of his death.
On February 25, 1931, he was united in marriage to Katherine Lewer. They lived in Nuckolls & Clay Counties all of their married life.
To this union were born two daughters, Loryne and Heral Jean. He is survived by his wife, Katherine, daughters and sons-in-law, Wayne and Loryne Moore of Exeter, Keith and Heral Jean Schultz of Superior; eight grandchildren, Shelley, Patrice, Brent and Vicki Moore; Brenda, Kevin, Katherine and Bradley Schultz; one brothers, Julius Jensen of Superior, four half brothers, Arthur Nelson, Alda, Oscar Nelson, Superior, Murray Nelson, Wenatchee, Washington, Everett Nelson, Davenport, and other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Ruskin Lions Club, Danish Brotherhood and was active in community affairs.
He was a kind and loving father and considered everyone his friend.
Funeral services were Sunday, April 25, 1971 at 2:30 p.m. in the Bethany Lutheran Church. Pastor Edward Hiller officiated.
Casket bearers were Edwin Schultz, LaVern Erickson, Bonnie Fuller, Walt Eggers, Jens Houtwed and Roy Campbell.
Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery. Megrue-Price Funeral Home, Superior, Nebraska was in charge.
