She was the daughter of Alfred Edward Thomas and Mary Jane Shuler Thomas.
Dora was a member of Providence Baptist Church, and was a graduate of Berkeley High School.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and surviving are two sons, Leland Curtis Gaskins and wife, Beth, of Huger; and Boyce Danny Gaskins of Macedonia; two daughters, Hollie J. Wilcher and husband, Wendell, of Palestine, TX; and Christy G. Denny of Kingsland, GA; two brothers, Joe Thomas and wife, Pauline, of Cleveland, TN; and Charlie Thomas and wife, Mary, of Bonneau; three sisters, Rose Harris and husband, Keith, of St. Stephen; Ida Hilton and husband, Tommy, of Houston, TX.; and Shirley Gaskins of Huger; a grandson, Kenneth M. Denny; three granddaughters, Amber J. Fox; Chelsea E. Gaskins; and Milessa M. Wilcher; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Interment wasin Eccles Methodist Cemetery.
