Mrs. Flora Blake

Mrs. Flora Belle Duckworth Blake, 79 of Rt. 3 Grafton died at 1:30 a.m. today at Grafton City Hospital following an illness of two years.

She was born in Barbour County on May 5th, 1883, a daughter of the late Batell and Martha McDaniel Duckworth.

Her husband was the late Arthur V. Blake.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Hallie Poling of Rt 1 Grafton, Mrs. Callie Brown of Rosemont, Vernon Blake of Galloway, Darl Blake of Knottsville and Mrs. Pansy Phillips of Rt. 1 Thornton; one brother, Sammy Duckworth of Clemtown; two sisters Mrs. Lora Poe of Arden and Mrs. Grace Proudfoot of Philippi Pike; 21 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Vernon Blake who passed away October 5th, 1925 and by three children, Okey, Clara and Martha.

Mrs. Blake was a member of the Fetterman Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Clemtown Evangelical Brethen Church at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Danzil Moore officiating.

Interment will be in Clemtown Cemetery.

Friends may call at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Phillips of near Knottsville, after 7 p.m. Sunday.

The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon Tuesday until the funeral hour.
