Mrs. Margaret Aber Died in Oliveburg
Resident of Area Past 48 Years Succumbs in Home of Daughter, Mrs. Lott Jordan.
Mrs. R. Margaret Aber, widow of the late John G. Aber and a resident of the Oliveburg area the past 48 years, died in the home of daughter, Mrs. Lott Jordan, in Oliveburg this morning at 6 o`clock at the age of 89 years. Mrs. Aber, one of the oldest residents of this section, succumbed to the infirmities of age following an illness of one year.
She was a daughter of the late Henry and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Doverspike and was born Mar 7, 1854, near Sprankle Mills. She was united in marriage September 30, 1873, to Andrew Lingenfelter and following his death married John G. Aber April 20, 1889. Mrs. Aber was a member of the Oliveburg Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Anna Morgan and Mrs. Minta Tangren, of Punxsutawney, and Mrs. Lott Jordan and Mrs. William Haag; of Oliveburg. Two brothers, Daniel Doverspike, of Hamilton and William Doverspike of Sprankle Mills, and one step-son, George G. Aber, of Oliveburg, also survive, along with 21 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon beginning at 2:00 o`clock in the Lott Jordan residence in Oliveburg and interment will in in Tabor Cemetery.
