Funeral services for Rev. W. C. Grice will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2001 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield with Revs. C. J. Townsend and Wallace Ingles officiating. Burial will be in Gorham Town Cemetery, Joyce, LA under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. on Wednesday in the Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. Thursday until service times.
Mr. Grice, age 80 of Dodson, LA died Monday, February 12, 2001 in the Parkview Care Center in Winnfield, LA. He was a Winn Parish Native, Veteran of World War II, served as an Assembly of God Minister and was a retired carpenter.
Survivors are his wife: Esther Townsend Grice of Dodson, LA; two brothers, Bobby Grice of Big Sandy, TX and A. J. Grice of Athens, TX; nephew, Eugene Ackley of Alexandria, LA; host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nettie Dunn Grice.
[Pallbearers were] Charles McFarland, Jack McFarland, Bud McFarland, Trampas Shelton, Kurt Shelton and Lamar Harlan.
