Arthur Eli Grice, 79, of Route 2, Winnfield, died at 9:15 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 1972 in Winnfield General Hospital. He was a retired merchant.

Survivors include four sons, James E. Grice and A. J. Grice, both of Dallas, Texas, Bobby H. Grice of Texas City, Texas, and Rev. W. C. Grice of Winnfield; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Henderson of Oak Ridge, Ore., Mrs. Mildred Heflin of Route 2, Winnfield, and Mrs. W. F. Prescott of Joyce; one brother, Oscar Grice of Slidell; four sisters, Mrs. Sinnia Porter, Mrs. Anna Wood, and Mrs. W. S. Dunn, all of Winnfield, and Mrs. Ethel Ingles of Texas City, Texas; 26 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in East Winnfield Baptist Church with Rev. J. L. Holt officiating, assisted by Rev. Alson Jeter and Rev. Jimmy Yocum. Burial was in Old Union Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Winnfield.

Honorary pallbearers were Masons, S. C. Malloy and D. M. Prescott. Other pallbearers included Masons C. H. Hand, Jr., David Hand, Lavelle Bartley, Roy Jones, C. E. Wilson, and Jack French.
