OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Monday, October 12, 1964:

Lena Anderson Succumbs At 69

Lena May Anderson, 69, of Arlington, died Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Hancock County Hospital, Greenfield, where she had been a patient for the past 16 days. She had been in failing health for ten years.

The deceased was born June 2, 1895 the daughter of Albert N. and Phoebe Coffin McMichael, of Arlington. She was married August 26, 1915 to Ray Anderson, Sr., who survives.

Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Blue River Wesleyan Methodist Church and the Missionary Society of that church.

Survivors with the husband are two daughters, Mrs. Wilburn (Juanita)Ward, R. 1, Arlington, Mrs. Earnest (Virginia) Bennett, Roswell, New Mexico; one son, Ray Anderson, Jr., Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Basil (Nellie) Hardin, R. 2, Greenfield, Mrs. Dennison (Edna) Dooley, Morristown; three brothers, Loren and Harold McMichael, Connersville, and Carson McMichael, R. 1, Arlington; and nine grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at the Wesleyan Methodist Church Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. William Abresch in charge. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hauk-Spencer Funeral Home in Morristown after 7 o'clock this evening.

Rites Wednesday For Ex-County Resident

Mrs. Ray (Lena May) Anderson Sr., 69, Arlington, died at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hancock County Hospital at Greenfield where she had been a patient for 16 days. She had been in ill health for 10 years.

Mrs. Anderson was born June 2, 1895, on R.R. 1, Arlington, and had resided in the Gwynneville community until 1935. She was the daughter of Albert N. and Phoebe (Coffin) McMichael. She married Mr. Anderson on Aug. 26, 1915, and he survives with three children, Mrs. Wilburn (Juanita) Ward and Ray Anderson, Jr., both of R.R. 1, Arlington, and Mrs. Ernest (Virginia) Bennett of Roswell, N.M.

Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Basil (Nellie) Hardin of R.R. 2, Greenfield and Mrs. Dennison (Edna) Dooley of Morristown, three brothers, Loren and Harold McMichael of Connersville, and Carson McMichael of R.R. 1, Arlington, and nine grandchildren.
