OBITUARY, Connersville [IN] News-Examiner, Tuesday, June 14, 1966:

Harold C. McMichael, 58, 2424 Leah Court, died at 11:30 a.m. today in Fayette Memorial Hospital, soon after being admitted. He had been in failing health several months.

He was born October 10, 1907, in Rush County, to Albert and Phoebe Coffin McMichael, and had lived here 38 years. For 25 years he was a finish tool maker for McQuay Norris. He was a member of First Church of the Nazarene where Rev. Walter Griffith will conduct services at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Dale Cemetery. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Home.

Survivors are Mrs. McMichael, who before their marriage June 17, 1926, was Hazel M. Johnson; a son, Richard L., Edinburg, Ind.; a foster son, Robert Smith, Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Evelyn) Lynn, Jr., of Connersville, and Mrs. Frank (Esther) Pruet, of New Palestine; two brothers, Loren of Connersville and Carson of near Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. D. C. (Edna) Dooley of Morristown and Mrs. Basil (Nellie) Hardin, of R.R. 2, Greenfield; and nine grandchildren. A sister preceded him in death.

Former Posey Township Man Rites Thursday

Harold C. McMichael, 58, 2424 Leah Court in Connersville, died at 11:55 a.m. Tuesday in Fayette Memorial Hospital there after being admitted that morning.

Mr. McMichael, a former resident of the Arlington community, had been in failing health for several months.

After spending his early life near Arlington, Mr. McMichael had lived in Connersville for the last 38 years. He had been employed as a tool-maker at the McQuay Norris plant for more than 25 years before illness forced him to quit two months ago.

He was born near Arlington on October 10, 1907, the son of Albert and Phoebe Coffin McMichael, and was married on June 17, 1926, to Hazel M. Johnson, who survives.

Surviving with the widow are a son, Richard L. McMichael of Edinburg; a foster son, Robert Smith of Indianapolis; two daughters, Mrs. Lloyd (Evelyn) Lynn, Jr., of Connersville and Mrs. Frank (Esther) Pruet of New Palestine; two brothers, Loren McMichael of Connersville and Carson McMichael south of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. D. C. (Edna) Dooley of Morristown and Mrs. Basil (Nellie) Hardin, R.R. 2, Greenfield, and nine grandchildren.

One sister preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Church of the Nazarene in Connersville, of which he was a member, with the Rev. Walter Griffith officiating, and burial will be in Dale Cemetery there.
