Mrs. Susan Arnold, Windsor, 77, Years Old, Stricken by Paralysis
Windsor, Sept. 6.—Mrs. Susan Arnold died suddenly yesterday at 12:30 p. m. at the home of her son, Benjamin. F. Arnold, Sr., of a stroke of paralysis. She was 77 years old. Mrs. Arnold, who was visiting her son, had been complaining of rheumatism for several days, but on Saturday night, on retiring, was in usual health. Yesterday morning, she was sick, complaining of pains in the head and she suffered an attack of nausea, during which she is supposed to have suffered the stroke, at 8 a. m. She became unconscious and remained in that state until death. She suffered a second stroke shortly before death occurred. She is survived by the following children: S. A. Arnold, Windsor; J. W. Arnold, Windsor; Benjamin F. Arnold, Sr., Windsor; W. A. Arnold, York; Albert Arnold, York; Mrs. Wiley Norris, York; and two brothers, Melvin Gohn, Rocky; and Clayton Gohn, Conowingo, Md. The funeral will be held from the residence of S. A. Arnold, with whom she made her home, on Wednesday at 9 a. m. Services will be conducted in the United Brethren church, by the Rev. Rudolph Byrd. Interment will be made in the Union cemetery. The pallbearers will be D. H. Jacobs, B. F. Shearer, W. H. Overdorff, and William Overdorff, and J. N. Flinchbaugh.
