Samuel Arnold, 77, Prominent Windsor Resident Succumbs
Windsor—Samuel Arnold, veteran lumberman and bank director, died at 1:30 o'clock yesterday morning at his residence, 8 West Main street. He was 77. Death followed an extended period of ill health.
Mr. Arnold, a son of the late Michael and Susan Laucks Arnold, was the owner of the Arnold Lumber and Supply company, Red Lion, for the past 28 years. He was a director of the Farmers and Merchants' National bank, Red Lion, and also belonged to the local Grace Evangelical United Brethren church and Sunday school. He was a trustee of the church.
Surviving is his wife, Mrs. Agnes Gable Arnold; three children, Mrs. Edgar Flinchbaugh, Windsor; Mrs. W. Henry Snyder, Red Lion RD 1, and Gable Arnold, Red Lion; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a brother, J. W. Arnold, Windsor; two half brothers, Melvin and Clayton Gohn, both of Windsor, and a half sister, Mrs. Jacob Herman, Windsor.
Funeral services will be conducted from the late residence at 1:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon (DST) by Rev. Paul V. Cunkle, his pastor. Interment will be made in Windsor cemetery. Arrangements are in charge of Funeral Director F. B. Olewiler, Red Lion.

Last Rites Held For Samuel Arnold, Windsor
Windsor—Funeral services for Samuel Arnold, husband of Mrs. Agnes Gable Arnold and prominent resident of this place, who died Friday morning at his home, 8 West Main street, were conducted yesterday afternoon from the late residence.
Rev. Paul V. Cunkle, pastor of Grace EUB church, Windsor, officiated. The pallbearers were: Herbert and Clayton Smith, William Fake, Curvin Paules, Russell Miller and Curvin Grove. These men from the Arnold Lumber and Supply Co., Red Lion, of which the deceased was owner for the past 28 years, carried flowers: Edward C. Landis, E. P. Welty, Theodore McLaughlin, Charles Tyson, Richard Grove and Chester Tyson. Members of the board of directors of the Farmers and Merchants' National bank, Red Lion, of which Mr. Arnold was a member, attended the services in a body.
Interment was made in the Windsor cemetery.
