Henry Melvin Gohn, Civil War Veteran, Dies At Age Of 89 Years
WINDSOR, Sept. 29.—Henry Melvin Gohn died at his home in Windsor at 9:30 a. m., yesterday, aged 89 years, 5 months and 4 days. Death resulted from dropsy, from which he had suffered for three years. He had been bedfast for the past year. He leaves his widow, Martha Adams Gohn, and the following children: Melvin H. Gohn and Mrs. Jacob Herman, this place; Mrs. Thomas Munders, York, and Clayton Gohn; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jacob Gohn, Red Lion. and Andrew Gohn, New Bridgeville, and one sister, Mrs. Michael Arnold, of near Felton. The body may be viewed today between and 9 p. m. Mr. Gohn was a veteran of the Civil war, having enlisted in C. A. Harper's company, 103rd regiment. Tho funeral will be held from his home at 9:30 a. m., Thursday. Burial will be In the Windsor cemetery.
