She married Lando Ellis in Guymon, Oklahoma on August 5, 1920 they had 2 sons. In 1927 Lando, Dorothy and family also Dorothy's parents Edwin and Isa Stall and family moved to Wann, OK. by covered wagon taking 60 days to complete the trip. They had 2 supply wagons, 2 covered wagons, 16 horses, cattle and chickens. At night when they stopped they would let the chickens out to find food, milk the cows, separate the cream and sell it at the nearby towns as they traveled along.
Lando and Dorothy returned to Texas, county Oklahoma in 1946 settling on the farm six miles east of Elkhart on the OK. side of the state line built by William and Mary Keigley, Lando's grandparents.
After Lando passed away in 1972, the farm was sold. Dorothy moved to Wichita, Kansas for awhile near her sister Edith P. "Johnson" Stall, but moved back to Morton county in 1979. Living there until her death in 1985, she was a member of the Elkhart Church of the Nazarene since 1954. Their source of income was farming and ranching.
The house (and property) was sold in the 70's and burned down in the late 1990's.
