Camilla died Tuesday March 22,1994
at the Mitchell County Nursing Home.
Funeral services were held at 3
p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Parker
Funeral Home with
Rev. Ted Bass officiating.
Burial was in Oakview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wayne Mercer,
Johnny Sanders, Johnny Ray Sanders,
Kevin Reynolds, Bill
Nunnery Jr., and Brian Sanders.
Born in Early County on Aug. 19,
1912, Mrs. Howell was the
daughter of the late Sam Lee Nolan
and Cora Irene Thurmon. She was
the widow of the late James E.
Howell and was retired owner and
operator of Howell Grocery
Company in Camilla. She was a
member of the Camilla
United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three sisters,
Sammie Mae Hobbs of Dothan, Ala.,
Callie M. Sanders of Camilla, and
Florence Ryner of Milan; and a
number of neices and nephews.
Parker Funeral Home had charge
of arrangements.
