HEMINGWAY, March 9 --Henry B. Singleton, 69, formerly of upper Georgetown County near Hemingway, more recently of Columbia, died at his home today at 1 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church in Georgetown County, conducted by the Rev. Malcolm Harrelson, pastor, and the Rev. Archie Williams of Hemingway. Burial directed by Morris Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be John L. Thompson, Spurgeon Thompson, William Thompson, Connie Hughes, Brinkley Cockfield, Carley Lyerly.
Mr. Singleton was a son of the late Starling Singleton of Horry County, where he was born and spent his early life. He was a member of the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Gussie Fullwood Singleton, three sons, Hallie, Frank, and Jasper Singleton, all of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Phillip Cockfield, Mrs. Lee Williams, both of Hemingway; a sister, Mrs. Cleatus Cook of Hemingway, and 22 grandchildren.
