James Lowell Moore, 76, passed away August 24, 1997 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Born May 8, 1921 in Duchesne, Utah, son of James Henry and Mittie Gilbert Moore. Married Vera Blake June 24, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; she preceded him in death May 22, 1990.

Survived by children, James (Mary) Moore, Carmel, California; Irene (Tim) Day, Gilroy, California; Annette (Kim) Miller, Farmington, Utah; Patrick (Vicki) Moore, Pacolet, South Carolina; Timothy (Shellie) Moore, Simi Valley, California; LaVoy (Elena) Moore, Palmdale, California; Carol (Bob) Illiescu, Gaffney, South Carolina; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Sylvia Martin, Mesa, Arizona. Preceded in death by son, Michael Moore.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, 10 a.m. at the Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street. Friends may call Friday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Saturday, 9-9:40 a.m.
