Wurtsboro - Emmett C. Shipman of Wurtsboro, a retired truck driver for H. L. & F. McBride Transportation Co., Goshen, and an area resident since 1966, died Saturday, Sept. 19, at Horton Memorial Hospital, Middletown, after a long illness. He was 81.

The son of the late Abraham and Sarah Clark Shipman, he was born Sept. 23, 1905, in Sussex, N.J. Mr. Shipman was a member of Teamsters Local No. 445, Newburgh.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Drahos Shipman, at home; one stepson; one stepdaughter; one brother, Frank Shipman of Greenville; eight grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial in Warwick Cemetery.
