Mr. Shipman was born May 9, 1904 in Florida, N.Y. to Abraham and Sarah Clark Shipman. He married Eva Romer.
A lifelong area resident, he was a retired driver for McPride Transportation Co. of Goshen, N.Y.
Surviving are his wife; 1 daughter, Mrs. Betty Jane Volpe of Middletown; 4 grandsons; 4 brothers, Emmett of Wurtsboro, Frank of Greenville, Percy of Warwick and Arther of New Jersey.
Funeral services were Saturday, November 3, 1979 at the Donovan Funeral Home, 82 S. Church St., Goshen. Burial was in Warwick Cemetery, Warwick, N.Y.
