Sarah E. Shipman, widow of Abraham Shipman died May 8, 1963 in her home at 5 New street after a long illness. She had lived here for the past nine years. She was a member of the Amity Presbyterian Church.
A native of Garnerville, she was born to Lane and Martha Hulse Clark July 7, 1876.
She is survived by five sons Emmett and Abe of Goshen, Percy of Amity, Frank of Greenville and Arthur of Tuxedo, two grandchildren, one brother Algar Clark of Middletown and a sister Mrs. Margaret Gibbs of Johnson.
Services will be held Saturday, May 11 at 2 pm. at the Donovan Funeral Home, Rev. John Mierop officiating. Burial will be in the Florida Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday afternoon and evening.
