Mrs. Zora Hughes Cook, age 71, widow of Bryan Cook , died Saturday, December 18, 1971 at the Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Cook was a resident of Lansdowne Avenue in Deer Park, Ohio.

Mrs. Cook, a native of Corinth, Grant County, Kentucky, was the daughter of John William Hughes and Nancy Jane Morgan Hughes.

Mrs. Cook was survived by her daughter, Mrs. Hallie Lee Cook Wise, (Benny L.) of Orlando, FLorida (who passed away less than two months later), and twin granddaughters, Mrs. Nickie Louise Wise Tharp () of Milford, Ohio and Mrs. Mickie Lee Wise Cunningham (Donald) of Tampa, Florida, as well as one great-grandson. Mrs. Cook was also survived by two sisters; Mrs. Hallie Hughes Kenney (Lloyd) and Mrs. Zelma Lillian Hughes Kennedy (Buford), both of Williamstown, Kentucky. She was predeceased by siblings: Elzie Hughes (1883-1886), Dannie Hughes, and Gusty Hughes.

Arrangements were handled by the Denman Funeral Home, Montgomery Road at Park Avenue, Silverton, Ohio on Monday, December 20, 1971. Rev. E. D. Wilson of Montgomery Road Church of Christ conducted services. Music was provided by Virginia Talbot. Interment was in Arlington Memorial Gardens, Mt. Healthy, Ohio.
