Marvin Richardson, 69, of Pine Creek section of Swords Creek, Va., died Tuesday in a Richlands, Va., hospital.
Born in Buchanan County, Va., he was a son of the late Floyd and Ollie Short Richardson. He was a retired miner and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Pine Creek Holiness Church.
Survivors: wife, Mrs. Hazel Plaster Richardson; daughter, Miss Phyllis Ann Richardson of the home, Mrs. Herman (Orthie) Conley of Salem, Va., Mrs. Bill (Carolyn) Dye of Swords Creek, Mrs. Harold (Irene) Justice of Honaker, Va.; sons, Oris Richardson and Jackie Richardson, both of Swords Creek; sisters, Mrs. Margie Mullins of Richlands, Mrs. Macy Kelly of Mansfield, Ohio; Sherman Richardson of Richlands, Ernest Richardson and Jay Richardson both of Swords Creek; nine grandchildren.
Funeral will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Tazewell County Funeral Home Chapel, Cedar Bluff, Va., with the Rev. Jimmy Richardson, the Rev. Grat Horton and the Rev. Carl Robinson officiating and burial at the Richardson Family Cemetery, Swords Creek.
Friends may call at the funeral home anytime today.
