Arline Fry, 83, of Galt, died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born Aug. 9, 1906, in North Dakota.

She was a housewife and was self-employed for 50 years, and lived in California since 1952 and Galt since 1985. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by: sons, John Patrick Fry of Sacramento and Kay L. Fry of Lodi. She was preceded in death by her husband Lester F. Fry.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Ben Salas Funeral Home, which is handling the arrangements. Committal will be at the Galt Cemetery.
