Franklin- Mrs. Martha C. Brown, a life long resident of Johnson County, died early this morning at Mickies Nursing Home following an extended illness. She was 79 years old.
Funeral services are pending at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home awaiting the arrival of a son Dale from Florida.
Mrs. Brown, born March 1, 1890 in the county the daughter of Amos and Mina Parkhurst Vandivier was married to Chalmers J. Brown in 1911 in Trafalgar, He survives.
Others surviving are two sons, Raymond Brown of Franklin and Dale W. Brown who lives in Indianapolis.
Eight grandchildren, three grandchildren; a sister Mrs, John K. Jones of Madisonville, Kentucky and a brother Donald Vandivier, of Louisville also survive.
Mrs. Brown was a member of the Union Christian Church and Franklin chapter of Eastern Star. D. August 20, 1969
