Husband of Mollie Taylor Blankenship Burtt. Father of William W., Elizabeth Mae "Lizzie", and Evelyn.

According to the 1930 census, William was born in Missouri. William registered for WWI Sept. 12, 1918, in Mayes County, Okla. He is described as being medium height and build with brown eyes and black hair. Listed as a farmer on the WWI registration and census reports of 1920.

After our Grandmother Mollie's death in 1940, Grandpa Bill never remarried.

Grandpa had a beautiful violin, that he played during his younger years. In his later years, he lived in a small house with his dog, a cocker spaniel named Dusty. When Grandpa moved to a nursing home, his loyal companion Dusty would be cared for by granddaughter Flora.
