Arlon Barker, 74, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2001, at Alliance Health Care Center in Deland, Fla. He was a resident of Deland.
He was born March 21, 1927, in Adair County, Ky. His parents were Arthur L. and Ollie May (Burton) Barker. Survivors include five brothers, Orlie Barker of Pensacola, Fla., Marvin Barker of McEwen, Tenn., and Donald, Calvin and Johnnie Barker, all of Edinburgh; and two sisters, Kathy King of Deland, Fla., and Sally Brown of McMinnville, Tenn. He was preceded in death by a brother, Verlon Barker; and three sisters, Delcie Branigin, Velma Keller and Verda Lovett.
He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and ARC, both in Deland, Fla.
The Rev. Mark Myers will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Friday at Edinburgh Apostolic Tabernacle. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.
