She was born in Jay County September 2, 1915 the daughter of John and Mary Etta (Thurman) Scholer. She was married October 27, 1934 to John F. Sherman and he died June 4, 2004.
She worked in the Jay County Clerks Office from 1971 – 1983. She was a member of the West Walnut Street Church of Christ, Eastern Star # 91 and Psi Iota Xi Sorority. Surviving are one son John J. Sherman of Indianapolis, two daughters Rosalind Kay McClure of Indianapolis and Beth Marsh of Noblesville; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Janice Elaine Ross in 1988 and a grandson Bradley Hendricks.
